Tomato sauce

Ingredients for 1 L. of sauce:
- 1,5 Kg. of Canned tomatoes.
- 15 Cl. Extra vergin olive oil.
- 200 gr. of Onion.
- 100 gr. of Selery.
- 1 Garlic clove.
- 1 Bay leaf.
- Salt.
- 5-6 Leaves of fresh basil.
Method:
- Clean and chop finely the vegetables.
- Cook in a casserole with half of the oil and on a low fire the vegetables.
- Add the tomatoes, the bay leaf, salt to taste and cook for 40-45 minutes.
- Garnish with the basil.
