Custard

Ingredients:

  • 4 Egg yolks
  • 100 gr. of sugar
  • 30 gr. of flour
  • 1/2 Lt. of milk
  • Vanilla pod or grated lemon zest

Method:

  • Beat the eggs with the sugar.
  • Add slowly the flour and keep stirring until everithing is well mixed.
  • Boil the milk with the vanilla pod (or the lemon zest).
  • Pour some of the boiling milk in the eggs and stir, when smooth,pour the whole eggs mixture in the pan with the rest of the milk.
  • Cook for 4-5 minutes or until the cream is thick.
  • Transfer in a bowl, cover it and let it cool.

Use it for filling bignč, pies, or just to garnish a nice fresh fruit salad.
