Pizzoccheri

Ingredients:

  • 500 gr. of Pizzoccheri (pasta) (if you want to make it at home see here)
  • 200 gr. of butter
  • 250 gr. of Casera cheese or (similar)
  • 150 gr. of parmesan cheese
  • 200 gr. of cabbage
  • 200 gr. of potatoes
  • 1 garlic clove
  • Pepper

Method:

  • Cook the vegetables in salt water, the cabbage into small pieces and the potatoes into cubes.
  • Cut the cheese in very small pieces and fry the garlic in the butter
  • Drain the vegetable and keep apart.
  • In the same water cook the pasta for 10-12 minutes (the homemade one for 5 minutes)
  • When the pasta is cooked put the vegetables back in, drain using a skimmer (perforated scoop) and make layers in the serving dish of pasta-vegetables, casera cheese, parmesan cheese and butter.
  • Continue like this until you have used up all the ingrediens.
